Resize a Ring
Have you found the perfect ring, but it’s just not the perfect size for you?
Not to worry, here at William May our inhouse jewellers are able to resize rings, ensuring the most comfortable fit for your new or personal rings. We just ask that you fill out the form below. With this information we will ask our jewellers to confirm that the resize can be done, and if so they will be able to provide a quote for the alteration work to be completed.

Unsure of your ring size?
If you’re unsure on what size you will need your ring to be, there are a few options to find this out.
- The best way to find out your ring size is to pop into a local jeweller, and they will be able to find what your perfect size would be.
- Alternatively, you can download our ring size guide here where you can either cut out the ring sizer or you can put a ring that you know fits onto the guide to show you which size you will need.
- Another way to measure your ring size, is to cut a strip of paper, or some string, and then wrap it around your finger, mark the material once it has made a full loop around your finger, and then lay the material down and measure the distance (find out more on this technique here). Use our conversion table to discover your ring size.

FAQs
Unfortunately, no. Any changes to sizing will change the curvature of the band, which may in turn compromise the setting style. With this in mind, there might be a limit to how much a ring can be altered in size up or down.
Simply complete the form with as much detail as you can. We can then evaluate the feasibility of your request and provide a quote. If you decide to get the ring resized, we will send you a link to pay for the resizing work.
